Thank You to The 3H Foundation Volunteers!
Volunteers’ Week gave us a wonderful opportunity to thank our amazing volunteers. We are always grateful for the wide range of ways they support our charity.
Some of our volunteers help pack carer hampers and TeensPLUS challenge boxes, coming into the office ready to help us provide a little respite in a box for adult and young carers. Their bubbly, enthusiastic nature always fills the office with conversation and laughter.
Others support us with computers and technical issues, making life much easier by being on hand when things go wrong. We’ve found that the offer of a cup of tea and a biscuit can bring them into the office in no time!
We also have a volunteer who shares her many years of marketing knowledge, which is a huge help to us.
To show how much we appreciate everything they do, we delivered a small cream tea in a box to each of them.
We must know our volunteers quite well by now, because there were plenty of smiling faces as we handed over the cream teas!

Help us help people with disabilities and carers have a break away or a short period of respite.
Many unpaid carers spend their time making sure their loved ones are
healthy and happy. These carers often don’t have the time to take a short break or do something especially for their enjoyment and wellbeing.
Many people with disabilities do not have the opportunity or the available funds to take a holiday even just for a couple of days. Getting a break somewhere new, trying new things, meeting new people and being able to put their day to day life to one side for even a short period of time can be a life-line.
We aim to support people have time to themselves and not have to think about hospital visits or appointments. Time to recuperate in different surroundings whether a beach in Norfolk, a holiday cottage in the New Forest or even in spa hotel only a few miles from home.
These little periods of respite can make a huge difference not only to the person we are helping but to those around them.
With people like you supporting us through fundraising activities we can provide these opportunities.
To apply – please contact us to tell us which event you would like to apply for. We ask all applicants for the 10K to raise a minimum of £150 and all applicants for the marathon to raise a minimum of £500.
