Carer Programme

Our Carers’ programme provides carers a period of rest away from their caring roles through days out.  In the UK around 7 million people are unpaid carers for family members or friends who need help due to disabilities.

We work to support carers and never underestimate how difficult life can be as a carer. Support for adult carers is important and we provide this support through the projects detailed below.

The Holiday Grant programme is currently for residents in Bedfordshire, East Sussex, Kent and Oxfordshire only.

If you apply for a holiday grant this year, the break has to be taken in 2024.

If we are able to offer you a grant we will be in contact.
As per our guidance notes below we can only contact applicants who have been successful as we receive thousands of applications each year.

A little respite in a box!

3H adapted the way we supported carers through the lockdown by sending out respite hampers to carers throughout the country. It was so successful that we continue to proivde our hampers to carers who are registered with us so they can have a little respite at home.

Our carers programme recognise and supports the need for adult carers to have a period of respite away from their cared for.
